PrintLounge installs first Jet iQ in New Zealand

Auckland printer becomes first in the country to adopt digital embellishment system.

PrintLounge has become the first company in New Zealand to install the Jet iQ digital embellishment system, developed by Jet Technologies in collaboration with Polly Automatic and Xaar, marking a significant step in the country's label and packaging print sector.

Jet Technologies, one of the region's leading packaging, printing, and industrial technologies providers, launched the Jet iQ range of finishing products for the label and packaging markets in September 2024. The partnership with Polly Automatics brings both companies' intellectual property and expertise to design and build a comprehensive suite of finishing products.

The Jet iQ range covers everything from slitting, rewinding and inspection to shrink sleeve processing and digital finishing equipment. One of the standout features is the optional inclusion of the Vesatex Print Bar by Xaar, enabling the addition of digital effects such as high-build varnish, digital foil and a combination of gloss and high-build varnishes in a single pass.

‘The Australian and New Zealand market has been crying out for a well-supported alternative, and we are thrilled to be able to provide that with the Jet iQ range. Our focus is not just on delivering cutting-edge technology, but also on ensuring that our customers have the support they need to make the most of these innovations,’ said Jack Malki, director of Jet Technologies.

For PrintLounge, which has more than 25 years of experience in the New Zealand print market, the investment is positioned as a strategic move to expand capabilities and access new opportunities in label and packaging production.
