Staats installs Cartes GT360 finishing line

Cartes has installed a GT360 converting and embellishment line at Staats Graphische Betriebe GmbH, expanding the German converter's finishing capabilities for premium labels across industrial, beverage, food, pharmaceutical and cosmetics applications.

The GT360 is designed for complex label production in a single pass, consolidating multiple finishing processes that would otherwise require separate runs or outsourcing. The configured line at Staats includes flexo coating, a label-on-label unit, spot coating, Jet D-Screen digital foil application, cast and cure gold oven and semi-rotary die-cutting.

The Jet D-Screen digital foil application module enables precise, variable foil placement without the tooling costs associated with conventional hot foil stamping, broadening the range of premium effects available on shorter runs. Combined with the cast and cure capability, the line supports high-impact metallic and textured finishes that are increasingly in demand from brand owners in the cosmetics and premium beverage sectors.
