Impreac buys Edale CartonLine at Loupe Americas

Colombian carton printer becomes Edale's Latin American reference site.

Colombian packaging business Impreac – Impresos y Acabados has invested in an Edale CartonLine FL5, agreed at Loupe Americas 2026, and will become Edale's reference site in Colombia and the wider Latin American market.

Edale, a Canon company and UK manufacturer of flexo printing and converting equipment, says the deal gives it a local showcase for its technology in a region where it sees significant potential. It also marks a development in its relationship with Latin American sales partner Intermarket, which worked alongside both businesses throughout the negotiations.

Family-owned Impreac, based in Funza near Bogotá, bought the press to support the next stage of growth in its folding carton business.

'The FL5 is an investment in the future of our folding carton business. We have ambitions to develop the business further, and we wanted a platform that could grow with us and respond to changing customer requirements,' said Luis Fernando Herrera Salinas, production director at Impreac. 'Our decision was also about the partnership behind the technology. We have built a strong relationship with Edale through this process, and becoming a reference customer in Colombia is something we are very proud of.'

'The significance of this project goes beyond the installation of one machine. Impreac has clear ambitions, and as a reference customer in Colombia, it gives us the opportunity to demonstrate Edale technology in a market where we see significant potential,' explained Rob Brown, sales and marketing director at Edale. 'Intermarket played an important role in bringing the project together, and the relationship we have developed through the Impreac deal gives us a stronger foundation from which to build our presence in Latin America.'
