The Institute for Graphics and Imaging has posted its first full schedule of workshops since the dedication and grand opening of its facilities in June 2007. Beginning October 2, and running until December 20, the IGI Fall 2007 workshop will feature a roster of internationally known industry consultants.

‘No one can dispute that internet forums and e-learning have become popular sources for industry training,’ noted IGI executive director Hal Hinderliter, ‘but for complex topics, there is no better choice than the in-depth, face-to-face workshop model employed by the Institute for Graphics and Imaging.’

Classes offered by the Institute for Graphics and Imaging take place in the new Harry V. Quadracci Printing Education and Technology Center (HVQ PETC) in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. Located on the campus of the Waukesha County Technical College, this new facility represents a partnership between Wisconsin's thriving printing community and the state's technical college system. The 23,600 square foot facility (constructed at a cost of $3.5 million) contains fifteen offices, three lecture halls, two computer graphics classrooms, a digital photography studio, a color measurement lab, a bookstore and a 4,000 square foot demo center to showcase the latest printing and finishing technologies. This project was funded by a combination of donations from private individuals and businesses, along with public funding.
