inkanto enters the market

Armor has begun shipping the first thermal transfer ribbons bearing its inkanto brand.

The new visual identity for Armor’s thermal transfer products

inkanto was introduced last year as a direct brand for Armor’s thermal transfer offering, providing a focal point for the products and services of the group’s largest area of activity. Armor Group’s interests extend into many verticals, such as haptic films, flexible solar film and films for batteries, all of which operate under their own brands – En’ Safe (batteries), OWA (office supplies), ASCA (solar cells). Until now, thermal transfer has not had its own identity, with products not taken to market through OEM relationships currently sold without a strong brand name to associate them with. This has changed with the introduction of inkanto.

On March 5, after two years of preparing this strategic project with all Armor teams throughout the world, Armor started shipping the first ribbons under the inkanto brand.

As well as a new brand identity, Armor has introduced a number of benefits through inkanto:

  • The box of ribbons is designed to look modern and show the colorful inkanto graphic identity, making it easy to identify;
  • The box and ribbon labels are simplified to give clear readability of important data: ribbon grade name, dimensions, printer compatibilities and traceability data; and
  • The three inkanto ribbon families feature an individual colour code: green for wax, blue for wax-resin and orange for resin.

Additionally:

  • Each inkanto ribbon is backed by a lifetime guarantee to protect the end user against any manufacturing defect;
  • Each box of inkanto ribbons contains a cleaning wipe to encourage cleaning; and
  • Each box of inkanto ribbons is delivered with a complete and unique Certificate of Conformity to provide all traceability and quality data to the end users. This initiative is hosted online which is accessible to anyone via a QR code on the label.
