Flint to raise prices in Europe
Ink and coatings prices are set to increase beginning January 1, 2027.
Flint Group Packaging Solutions will increase prices across its packaging inks and coatings portfolio in Europe beginning January 1, 2027. The adjustment reflects sustained cost pressures affecting raw materials, energy and freight.
This announcement follows a similar one made for the North American market. Earlier this week, Flint announced it would raise prices of its packaging inks and coatings range in the US and Canada, beginning December 14, 2026.
Flint says that energy and freight costs remain high, and pigment costs have increased significantly due to capacity shortages for raw materials in Asia, particularly India and China. Additionally, the company notes that high natural gas prices are also driving up the cost of carbon black. The company says these pressures have increased the cost of manufacturing and supplying inks and coatings.
Flint says the company continues to focus on internal efficiency initiatives and assess opportunities to mitigate cost and risk for its customers whenever feasible. However, the company says that the scale and persistence of supply-side cost pressures make price increases necessary to maintain the product quality, service and supply reliability customers expect.
Flint says it continues to work with suppliers to manage costs and ensure continuity of supply. Its local sales representatives will be in contact with customers to confirm details.
