DRG Technologies buys second Mark Andy P7
DRG Technologies has invested in a second Mark Andy Performance Series P7 press to enhance its capabilities and capacity, and access new market opportunities.

DRG Technologies, based in Safford, Arizona, installed its first Mark Andy Performance Series P7 in 2012, which has since been running three shifts a day and producing a variety of pressure-sensitive labels and insert cards.
It said the quick change capabilities of the Performance Series press have been a distinct advantage when running labels for products with multiple SKUs, and allowed the company to plan and manage jobs based on client demand.
This positive experience and an interest in pursuing new markets have led DRG Technologies to acquire a second Mark Andy Performance Series P7 press to further expand its operations.
The new 13in-wide model has already begun production of a variety of prime labels and pressure-sensitive film labels.
Both it and the existing model are equipped with rail-mounted web turn bars, allowing DRG Technologies more application flexibility including extended content and back-side printing, as well as additional decoration capabilities for higher-end labels and packaging.
Paul Forsythe, president and chief operating officer at DRG Technologies, said: ‘The acquisition of the second P7 and the opportunity to create a dedicated “cell” approach allow us to offer our clients best-in-class flexographic product manufacturing. Quality and competitiveness is unsurpassed.’
