Label Kingdom started with screen printing and then migrated to offset printing for both commercial and packaging work. It now focuses on packaging that includes folding cartons, rigid boxes and corrugated shipping cartons. Label Kingdom is a specialist in the garment segment and supplies packaging materials to many global brands in the garment and leather products industry in South India.

KV Prasad, chief executive officer of Label Kingdom, said: ‘We strongly believe that the Esko solutions will help us produce high quality jobs and also improve our efficiency by identifying errors at a very early stage. We encounter problems both in design and at finishing stage when we receive files for package printing.

‘This leads to a lot of wastage in terms of material and press time, sometimes leading to rejection of completed jobs from the customer. It’s, thus, always wise to make a complete sample for the customer file before we take it to final production. As a result our production efficiency increases.

‘Esko’s solutions are helping us to make designs that can be efficiently produced in large quantities. With this solution we can also make different designs and give the customer options for them to choose from. This helps us to increase customer satisfaction and also retain them.’

Srihari Rao, Esko India sales director, added: ‘Converters today are increasingly clear themselves on the advantages of using Esko’s efficient software tools for pre-press and the Esko Kongsberg sample making table for building quality, efficiency right into their processes from inception and avoiding errors in the entire production flow.’

‘Our belief is that packaging in India is on a growth path thanks to the continuous introduction of new consumer products such as smart phones and electronic gadgets amongst other things,’ added Prasad. ‘We look forward to experience the benefits of this growth through the adoption of modern technologies and solutions such as the ones we use from Esko.’
