The flexographic division of Bureau of Packaging and Labeling was founded in 2013, and is focused on producing a full range of self-adhesive labels. According to the management of the company, when the question of modernization was raised, it conducted thorough research of the offerings available on the market, looking at the price and quality ratio as well as upgrading, reliability, response time and feedback from existing customers. As a result, Bureau of Packaging and Labeling decided to invest in two servo-driven 6-color Fit machines from Etirama equipped with UV reflectors and combined with some auxiliary equipment.

Etirama Fit printing presses have a 250mm width and a maximum speed up to 100m/min. They can print with almost any self-adhesive materials. A linear design means the machine can be upgraded with printing sections, up to 10, as well as inkjet station, cold stamping, delam/relam and many other options. All machines are equipped with UV reflector dryers, including the high-end Maxwell model from Italian manufacturer UV Ray. That series is based on cassette aluminum dichroic reflectors, powered up to 160W/cm and designed for maximum reliability.

In addition, two auxiliary units were installed. A table-top plate mounting workstation from SysTec is equipped with HD cameras and has a 700mm working width, and allows plate mounting for cylinders as well as sleeves. A modular design means it can be equipped with additional cameras, nip-rollers, motors for mandrel rotation and touchscreen. In case of no registration marks being available, any imaging elements can be used instead. At the other end of the line, a Langer2 slitter rewinder machine from Jurmet allows simultaneous slitting of various materials as well as print quality inspection. It can process foils, OPP, BOPP, aluminum films, laminates, self-adhesive labels on paper or foil base, paper and self-adhesive foil.

Bureau of Packaging and Labeling expects its new equipment to strengthen its position in the self-adhesive label market, as well as provide an uplift to the business by offering more benefits for Russian label customers.
