Flexographic Packaging Company buys Comexi Nexus SL2
US converter Flexographic Packaging Company has purchased a Comexi Nexus SL2 solventless laminator to expand its capabilities and capacity, and ‘exceed customers’ expectations’.
Flexographic Packaging Company is active in the converting of a variety of flexible packaging materials, including such as PET, BOPP and nylon. It said the purchase of the Comexi Nexus SL2 has been made in response to the company’s requirements of maintaining the highest standards of performance while being environmentally responsible. The Waupun, Wisconsin-based company will be installing the Nexus SL2 in its newly expanded printing and laminating facility.
The Comexi Nexus SL2 is designed to work with solventless adhesives, utilizing state-of-the-art technologies to provide maximum reliability and easy handling. This new model is the evolution of the top selling Comexi Nexus Evo and is capable of laminating at a maximum speed of 1,475ft/min with an available width of 52-60in.
In a joint statement, president David Puente and vice president Erik Blankenberg, the owners of Flexographic Packaging Company, said: ‘The Comexi Nexus SL2 will be a great addition to our laminating department. The Comexi solution will allow Flexographic Packaging Company to increase our capacity, which will allow us to exceed customer’s expectations.’
