Fortis adds four HP Indigo WS6X00 presses
Fortis Solutions Group, a combination of the legacy Labels Unlimited and A&M Label brands, is growing its business with four HP Indigo WS6X00 series digital presses as it looks to strengthen its position in the digitally printed labels and packaging market.

Fortis Solutions Group installed its first HP Indigo digital press, a 4050, in 2004 and has grown its investment with HP Indigo technology since then. Digital printing now represents 25 percent of the company’s total revenue and is a huge driver of Fortis Solutions Group’s growth and go-to-market sales strategy.
The new digital presses are to be strategically positioned in its Virginia and Michigan facilities, and it is upgrading its HP Indigo WS6X00 in-line primers to Michelman DP680 primers for added versatility and lower primer-related costs. Michelman DP680 primers impart a print-receptive surface to film and metalized film substrates to improve the transfer and adhesion of HP Indigo electroinks.
‘With HP Indigo digital printing technology, we give customers powerful advantages, including faster turnaround times, excellent print quality, impeccable color management and a solutions-oriented approach,’ said John Wynne, chief executive officer of Fortis Solutions Group.
‘As an early digital adopter, our relationship with HP Indigo has been critical in helping us unlock huge benefits for our clients to help them grow their share in the marketplace.’
Fortis Solutions Group recently acquired Kopco Graphics and Color Craft Label.
