Powered by Memjet inkjet technology, VP700 prints high quality labels at 18m/min, or 100 100 x 150mm labels in under a minute, up to 1600 x 1600 dpi.

Icopeint was founded in 1963, and manufactures decorative paints, outdoor coatings, and for specific industrial applications. Icopeint also has his own research and development laboratory.

The company’s label needs were previously outsourced to an external company. The multiplicity of SKUs and the need of a quick reaction to requests for deliveries from customers, led Icopeint to look to bring label printing in-house and become on-demand.

The VP700 was installed by Neryos after it was contacted by Icopeint, with a successful two-week testing and evaluation period resulting in Icopeint deciding to acquire the digital press.

‘Today, 80 percent of labels are produced by the VP700, and soon 100 percent will be printed with the inkjet technology of VP700,’ said Gilles Winkler, production manager at Icopeint.
