Indian converter opts for third Omet
Weldon Celloplast, the Indian representative of Omet flexo presses, has completed the installation of the third Omet X4 flexo press at Mumbai-based Unique Photo Offset Services.

The all UV 8-color machine with a web width of 370-mm features chill drums, two corona treaters of which one has been installed just before rewinder to overprint variable data offline, electrostatic web cleaner, web turnbar, de-lam, re-lam, die-cutting station, two rewinders and fully automatic registration control.

Unique was founded by R V Nerker in 1960 as a pre-press house who handed the company to his son Ashok Nerker. He ventured into digital flexo prepress and later moved forward into flexo printing and offset printing. The company is today run by the third generation entrepreneur Gautam Nerker.
