Kelgray installs latest Edale flexo press

Kelgray is a provider of mobile worker and barcode options, and also has its own label converting facility. It further manufactures print and apply labeling machinery.

The chosen FL-1 specification is a 250mm, 5-color press with combination drying, which was selected due to its quality following demonstrations held at Edale’s factory in Hampshire. The press was installed in December 2015. Kelgray has also opted to upgrade an existing Edale E250 press.

John Perry, Kelgray production manager, said: ‘With its small footprint and the advantage of being able to use most of our existing tooling, the FL-1 was without doubt the right choice for us. Early signs indicate that on some jobs, running times have been reduced by more than 50 percent.’
