Based in Bourne, Lincolnshire, Links Labels & Tapes is primarily a label printer with flexo and digital presses, including platemaking facilities, HP Indigo digital presses, a Nuova Gidue M1 flexo press and several finishing machines.

The M1, purchased by Links Labels & Tapes in early 2012, is a 370mm-wide flexo press with eight colors and a configuration that allows the production of creative promotional coupons in one pass, whereby a self-adhesive web is divided into three or five lanes which are separated and then positioned on top of each other to produce a five to nine page multi-color coupon at speeds up to 120m/min.

The new Nouva Gidue MX2 flexo press is also 370mm wide with eight colors, as well as two dies, delam/relam, cold foil and a web cleaner.

Reg Rudd, managing director at the converter, said: ‘The additional investment of another Nuova Gidue flexo press will ensure we keep pace with an increasing demand for high-quality labels that our customers expect.

Keith Robson, managing director of Global Print Services Ltd, the UK and Ireland distributor for Nuova Gidue, said: ‘We are witnessing a substantial strengthening of this dynamic company’s market position due to their investment in modern high performance printing presses. We wish them every success in the future.’
