Multitec to ship milestone press in May

Of the eight presses that have been ordered with Multitec in the current financial year, two are 10-color machines. While five will be shipped to clients in the domestic market, the other three are export orders from Lebanon, Iran and Russia.  

 

Amit Ahuja, Multitec sales director, said: ‘The company recorded more than 20 percent growth in its turnover in the 2014-15 financial year. We sold 20 flexo presses and installed a total of 19 in the last fiscal.’  

 

Of these, six were installed after Labelexpo India 2014. While one full servo Ecoflex VSi Servo has been installed at Total Print Solutions, Mumbai, one infeed/outfeed servo Ecoflex VSi has been installed at a large FMCG group in Mumbai. One 8-color all UV fully loaded Ecoflex VSi is running at Prakash Labels in Noida and one Ecoflex has been installed at I D Technologies in Pune. Furthermore, one Ecosmart and one Ecoflex have been installed in Dubai.   

 

The company has also introduced re-register system as an option across its three variants of presses – Ecoflex, Ecoflex VSi and Ecosmart. ‘This new feature allows customers to print, varnish, foil and die-cut a pre-printed web, so allowing them to use the same press for more operations and colors. It also opens up possibilities for digital finishing customers,’ Ahuja said. 

 

With consistent growth in business, Multitec added two new CNC vertical machining centres, two new CNC turning centres and¬ one CNC plasma cutting machine during the 2014-15 financial year. 

 

‘The new capacity expansion worth more than Rs 2.5 crore (400,000 USD) was done to shorten the delivery time of our presses to the customers,’ Ahuja said. ‘With this addition, we have more than a dozen CNC machines installed at Multitec factory in Faridabad, which is the largest for any Indian label press manufacturer.’
