Owned by Rabia Rawoot, N & R Labels is a local Cape Town label printer serving a range of companies in the surrounding area. Due to higher demand for print runs on its Mark Andy 2200 press, the DSI has been ordered for precise off-line die-cutting of blank labels. Configured to also run in inspection mode with a Unilux LED2000 series inspection strobe light, the DSI provides N & R Labels the flexibility of slitting, rewinding and inspection of finished label rolls, as well as die-cutting.

The multi-purpose off-line finishing system was successfully installed by SArepco at the end of March. The machine was featured in the SArepco stand at the recent Gapp Print Expo, along with a VSI slitter rewinder which was also sold to a South African printer. A supplier of equipment and services to the narrow web flexographic converting industry in southern Africa, including Mark Andy printing and Rotoflex converting machinery, SArepco offers installation, training, upgrades and servicing of all the equipment it sells.

Ralph Beier, Rotoflex director, said: ‘After spending four days on the SArepco stand at Gapp Print Expo, it was evident that owner Paul Bouwer has established a very professional and effective organization. In operation for over 30 years, the SArepco team is highly technical and knowledgeable regarding the products they represent. The team is very connected to the South African industry as proven with the steady flow of companies to their stand that own product represented by SArepco.’
