Optimum Group purchases twin Nilpeter FA-17 presses
The Scandinavian label specialist has invested in two flexo presses to support growth and strengthen its production in Denmark.
Optimum Group has expanded its Scandinavian production platform with the purchase of two new Nilpeter FA-17 flexographic presses, reinforcing its commitment to capacity growth, operational efficiency and advanced label manufacturing across the Nordic region.
The two presses will be installed at Optimum Group companies, OG FlexoPrint in Randers and OG Labelco in Hinnerup, Denmark, providing both businesses with additional production flexibility and supporting rising demand for high-quality self-adhesive labels.
Once operational, the two new presses will provide additional manufacturing capacity in Denmark while helping both OG FlexoPrint and OG Labelco maintain the service levels, quality standards and production flexibility required by brand owners operating in fast-moving consumer goods, food and industrial markets.
The investment forms part of Optimum Group's broader strategy to modernize production assets across its European network while maintaining the agility required to serve increasingly demanding label markets.
OG FlexoPrint has more than 40 years of experience supplying self-adhesive labels to a diverse range of industries. At the same time, OG Labelco specializes in food and consumer packaging applications where quality assurance, food safety compliance and sustainable production practices are key priorities.
The addition of Nilpeter's FA-17 platform is expected to enhance productivity through faster job changeovers, improved operational efficiency and greater production capacity. These capabilities are becoming increasingly important as converters face shorter run lengths, growing SKU proliferation and customer expectations for rapid turnaround times.
André Prophitius, chief executive officer of Optimum Group, said the investment reflects the group's ongoing commitment to equipping its businesses with the latest production technology.
'At Optimum Group, we continuously invest in our companies to ensure they remain at the forefront of the industry,' he said. 'The addition of two new FA-17 presses gives us greater flexibility, efficiency and capacity, while supporting our ambition to deliver high-quality products and reliable service.'
The latest installations further strengthen a long-standing partnership between Optimum Group and Danish press manufacturer Nilpeter, whose FA-Line platform has become widely adopted among label converters seeking a modular and highly automated flexographic production line.
Designed around modern converter requirements, the FA-17 combines a 17-inch web width with advanced automation features to reduce setup times, minimize waste and improve overall equipment effectiveness. The platform's modular architecture also enables converters to configure press lines to suit evolving application requirements, including pressure-sensitive labels, shrink sleeves and flexible packaging.
For Lars-Ole Nauta, chief executive officer of Optimum Group Nordics, the investment positions both Danish businesses to capitalize on future market opportunities.
'With these investments, OG FlexoPrint and OG Labelco are better equipped to support customers in a market where flexibility, speed and quality are increasingly important,' he said.
Nilpeter's Global Sales Director, Jesper Jørgensen, welcomed the latest order, describing the FA-17 as a proven platform for modern label production.
The installations underline Optimum Group's confidence in flexographic technology as a key driver of future growth and reinforce the group's ambition to create a highly efficient, scalable production network across Europe.
