Printpack makes digital printing investment

Printpack, a US-based supplier of flexible and specialty rigid packaging, has made an investment in digital printing technology.

For small to mid-sized manufacturers, the digital press investment provides a cost-effective option to suit their specific needs

This technology, the nature of which is not currently being revealed, enables brand managers to create and rapidly produce flexible packaging, which can be highly customized, even individualized, stated Printpack. The digital press technology, which will go live in June, also accelerates the new product introduction process and provides a cost-effective option for shorter runs, it is said, making it well-suited for marketing campaigns, prototyping and emerging brands.

Karen English, market development manager at Printpack, commented: ‘Our digital press allows us to better serve the growing trend of mass customization in consumer goods marketing and helps our customers stand out on the shelf in innovative ways. Brand managers and marketers can now be more nimble than ever in capitalizing on today’s fast-moving trends.’

For small to mid-sized manufacturers, the digital press investment provides a cost-effective option to suit their specific needs. ‘Niche and bourgeoning companies can now create packaging that takes advantage of today’s highest-quality graphics capabilities,’ continued English.

Founded in 1956 and headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, Printpack operates 19 manufacturing facilities in the US, Mexico and China.
