Reelvision installs second Edale flatbed die-cutter
Reelvison has installed a second Edale FDC-510 flatbed die-cutter as it looks to expand its offering and target further growth.

The UK manufacturer of pharmaceutical, healthcare, personal care and FMCG cartons, will run the FDC-510 web-fed unit in-line with its existing Edale press technology.
Reelvision purchased its first Edale FL-5 carton press in 2007, which has been followed by a second with a flatbed die-cutter included. It will use its latest investment to print and convert high quality cartons which often include embossing, Braille and die-cutting in a single pass and in up to seven-color plus varnish.
Reelvision sales director Deborah Greenwood said: ‘The second FDC offered a slightly larger die-cutting platform, this helped us expand our offering to customers to include the shelf-ready packaging that complemented the primary packs. Every other feature was the same spec as the first machine and this gave us the flexibility to plan on both presses. This press has doubled our capability and given us the spare capacity needed to offer industry breaking lead-times.
‘As we now continue to grow, we are working closely with the team at Edale to ensure we keep ahead of the growth curve and investment in future capacity is high on the priority list.’
Edale managing director James Boughton added: ‘Performance is core to Edale and with our focus on designing and engineering new and improved products to suit customer requirements we look forward to continuing our longstanding relationship with Reelvision and working together to ensure maximum growth.’
