Designed to work non-stop and in-line with any narrow web press, Star+ is built on a servo motor system which automatically regulates rewinding tension. Featuring Prati’s glueless hooking technology, excellent cleanliness is obtained during rewinding according to Prati. This saves on consumables leading to economic advantages. Star+ also offers lower energy consumption, by up to 40 percent compared to comparable products, it is claimed. Fast format changes, flexibility and ease of use are other benefits of Star+ detailed by Prati.

For Sextant Étiquettes, after-sales support was equally as important to its investment decision, with director Augustin Monroe commenting that, after investigating the market, ‘we were won over by the robust concept of Prati’s turret rewinder.

‘Furthermore, we were reassured by the proximity of both the French and Italian after-sales outfits and also by the absence of a hotmelt system or any other glue.’

Prati installed the Star+ at Sextant Étiquettes with assistance from its official French distributor APGraphics, run by Anne and Patrick Fraenkel.

‘We were very impressed when we visited the factory in Faenza and the demonstration of the machine was equally impressive,’ added Monroe.
