Southern Tape & Label installs first Rotary Technologies Series 4 Servo 3000

Southern Tape & Label of Cocoa, Florida has installed a Series 4 Servo 3000 in-feed and re-register system from Rotary Technologies.

The Servo 3000 in-feed and re-register system has a worldwide installation base of more than 400

Rotary Technologies said the Servo 3000 in-feed and re-register system has a worldwide installation base of more than 400, with their uses ranging from improving press register on mechanical driven presses to digital print finishing.

Series 4 models are equipped with an intelligent communications package allowing customers real time access to the Servo 3000 or press activities from their smartphone, tablet or computer. Production reports showing data, such as the total material ran and set-up material used, can be viewed from the touchscreen at the end of the day, or the reports can be sent by email.

‘Like previous models the Series 4 is a great alternative for digital label finishing, an easy way to make booklet labels and an unrivaled web tension system,’ according to Joe Nicholson, president of Rotary Technologies. ‘With the Series 4 most everything is automated, it practically runs itself.’

Southern Tape & Label is a digital and flexo label printer that already uses existing Servo 3000 models, on its Aquaflex and Webtron presses, with the first installed almost five years ago.

‘They’re great for finishing our digital work and have made quality improvements with our flexo work too,’ said Bob Ramsey, Jr. owner of Southern Tape & Label. ‘Being familiar with what the Servo 3000 is capable of doing, we are still impressed with the new features on the Series 4.’
