Architects of Tomorrow to be 'best ever' Dscoop conference

Dscoop has detailed the full program for its next annual conference, ‘Architects of Tomorrow’, taking place in San Antonio, Texas on April 14-16 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.

Dscoop global executive director John Rogers - ‘This is gearing up to be the best Dscoop conference ever.’

‘This is gearing up to be the best Dscoop conference ever,’ said Dscoop global executive director John Rogers. ‘[It] is the single most important event of the year for the HP Graphics community. Each year we try to top the last, and this time we have done that without a doubt.’

The conference opens on April 14 with a keynote address from Apple co-founder, Steve Wozniak, followed by author and TV commentator Laura Schwartz. Shark Tank’s Kevin O’Leary, ESPN football analyst Herm Edwards, producer and strategist Andrew Davis, musician Rich Redmond and innovation catalyst Toni Newman will also present.

Christoph Schell, president of HP’s Americas region, and Alon Bar-Shany, vice president and general manager of HP Indigo, will also speak, while five tracks will present more detailed information on the following areas: leadership and strategy; marketing and sales; operations; technology and innovation; and collaboration. The full schedule can be found at www.dscoopsanantonio.org.

‘The conference will also feature one of the largest Solutions Showcases we have ever had,’ added Rogers. ‘With HP calling Dscoop San Antonio its “North American drupa”, it is using the opportunity to introduce all of the company’s drupa announcements for the North American audience, not the least of which is PrintOS, HP’s latest cloud-based operating system for streamlining the print production workflow and the only one of its kind.’

The Solutions Showcase will further include the new HP Indigo 8000 digital press, as well as developments in package printing and converting, and technology presentations from a host of partner companies, from Verso, Iggesund, Ashland and Cerm, to Tresu, Highcon and RotoMetrics.

‘A number of our other partners are also showcasing new offerings, which helps make our event the go-to place to see the latest innovations in the industry,’ added Ed Wiegand, a Dscoop North America board member.’

A series of charity events will also take place at this year’s Dscoop annual conference as a way for the cooperative’s members to give back to the local San Antonio community. Read more about them here.

Prior to ‘Architects of Tomorrow’, the next Dscoop EMEA conference will take place in Tel Aviv, Israel from April 5-8.
