Bobst establishes direct sales and service organization in Turkey

Bobst has established its own sales and service organization in Turkey as it seeks to strengthen its local footprint to better serve its customers.

Expansion into new countries and geographies is consistent with Bobst’s plan to continually broaden its sales and services capabilities with the objective of achieving extended geographic presence. Bobst describes Turkey as a growing market and with this new subsidiary Bobst is present in 24 countries through its own subsidiaries.

ERA, the European Rotogravure Association, hosted its 2015 Packaging and Decorative Gravure Conference in Izmir, Turkey owing to ‘the strong position of gravure in this developing market’.

Bobst Group CEO Jean-Pascal Bobst said: ‘Turkey is a strong market at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, with positive growth prospects. This new subsidiary gives Bobst a strong platform to serve its customers in the region and is in line with its strategy to expand in fast growing markets across the globe. We are confident in the long term outlook for Turkey’s packaging market.’

Bobst has appointed Ibrahim Caglar as managing director of its Turkish subsidiary.
