Brigl & Bergmeister buys Uetersen mill from Stora Enso
Brigl & Bergmeister has acquired 100 percent of the shares in the Uetersen paper mill from Stora Enso.

With a capacity of 240,000tpa, the paper mill, formerly known as Feldmühle Papierfabrik, manufactures one-side coated specialty papers for the flexible packaging and label markets, as well as high-quality two-side coated graphical paper and board on two paper machines.
The acquisition is said to create a global supplier of specialty papers with an extensive product portfolio.
The synergies which can be achieved as a result of this merger will also ensure that Uetersen in Schleswig-Holstein will remain an attractive employer in the region.
The transaction has yet to be approved by the competent competition authorities.
The transaction is in line with Stora Enso’s strategic transformation to a value-creating renewable materials company focusing on growth markets. The transaction is expected to be completed in mid-July.
Stora Enso will continue to produce specialty papers at Imatra Mill and coated fine paper at Oulu Mill in Finland.
