The new owner of CSAT, Markem-Imaje, has said the acquisition is part of a ‘focused strategy’ to broaden its expertise.

Gallus is to continue to hold the distribution rights for the CSAT-manufactured Linoprint L inkjet press after the divestment by Heidelberg

It was announced in early January that Heidelberg had sold its CSAT inkjet subsidiary to Markem-Imaje, with Gallus to continue to hold the distribution rights for the CSAT-manufactured Linoprint L inkjet press.

Markem-Imaje, a Dover Corporation company, is a global leader in product identification and traceability solutions, and said CSAT, headquartered in Eggenstein, Germany and a manufacturer in printing systems for the pharmaceutical and labeling industries, is part of a plan to expand its technology portfolio and broaden the market reach of CSAT through its expansive geographical coverage and services presence.

Markem-Imaje president Serge Kral said: ‘This acquisition is part of Markem-Imaje’s focused strategy to broaden our technological expertise, expanding our ability to exceed the expectations of existing and new customers with ever more specific, effective solution sets delivered by our vast global sales and service network.’
