Durst and Wifac have entered a distributor agreement that will extend the industrial inkjet specialists’ business opportunities in the Benelux countries.

The digital inkjet systems –Tau 330 and 330E – are complemented by low migration and low odor inks

Wifac, which has offices in Belgium and The Netherlands, offers Durst local knowledge in customer sales and service support as part of the distributor deal. The digital inkjet systems –Tau 330 and 330E – are complemented by low migration and low odor inks suitable for primary food packaging, as well as pharmaceutical sectors. Wifac will also be the supply point for inks and consumables for all Durst Tau systems.

Robbert Amse, Wifac press and packaging sales director, said: ‘Durst has an enviable reputation in the market for providing high quality inkjet products across a range of markets. In view of our international drive and continual expansion, especially in the label and packaging industry, this collaboration is a logical step forward for us and offers Durst an important opportunity for business growth into these new markets.

‘We’re delighted to be adding Durst systems and complementary products to our broader program that will include extensive service and support. Adding Durst is one of our steps to reach a complete A-brand portfolio for the label and packaging market. The synergy will provide a strong partnership which will be beneficial to our customers.’

Mike Englander, Durst Phototechnik business development manager for label and packaging printing, added: ‘This is part of a wider strategic plan to ensure that we have local market presence and opportunities in the Benelux countries through a company that is widely respected in the industry both for current and future customers.

‘Together with the Durst team, I look forward to supporting Wifac in what we are all confident is a win-win situation for the two companies and represents an expansion of our offering in what is another important market.’

Durst and Wifac hosted two customer and industry events in September to explain the collaboration in more detail.
