Fasco Printech to launch Flexo Gurukul

Fasco Printech is launching Flexo Gurukul, a series of flexo technical seminars for printers in India.

Pawandeep Sahni of Fasco Printech said: ‘We are expecting 200 to 300 people to attend the first seminar in April. The aim is to start educating printers at the basic level and gradually progress to advanced flexo training in the upcoming sessions.’

Taking place on April 28-29 at Khar Gymkhana in suburbs of Mumbai, the 2014 event will be the first in a series of bi-annual events, with a session each in autumn and spring. The second session this year will be organized in Delhi just before Labelexpo India, taking place October 29 to November 1.

The fee for the first session is Rs 9,000 (around 150 USD) excluding taxes. The program includes sessions on the three main flexo printing inks, controlling ink properties throughout a press run, processing, inspecting, handling, photopolymer plates, causes and effects of common plate defects, flexo plate mounting tapes, handling anilox rollers, and the interaction of ink, plate, tape and anilox rollers.

Frank Burgos, a renowned consultant who has trained more than 1,000 printers across the world and has more than 30 years of experience in the narrow and wide web flexographic printing industries, will be spearheading the training.
