FIG restructures into two companies

Flexo Image Graphics (FIG) has set up two companies, Flexo Image Graphics MEA and Flexo Image Graphics ISC, as it moves to restructure the business to cover a larger area for its partners.

Flexo Image Graphics sets up India and MEA operations

Flexo Image Graphics MEA will cover the distribution of Mark Andy and Rotoflex in the Middle East and African markets, while and Flexo Image Graphics ISC will represent Mark Andy, Rotoflex, Kluge, Stanford, Multipess, Xeikon and T&P in India and across the Indian sub-continent.

FIG is beginning the new financial year with these two companies running autonomously in the two different regions.

Thomas S. Andersen, FIG chief executive offer, said: ‘FIG has proactively managed its portfolio during the last 13 years through one company with its main base in New Delhi. Our decision to restructure into two independent companies is a natural progression of our strategy to cover a larger area for our partners.

‘We believe that creating two companies will enable the management of each company to have a greater focus on the success factors in the different territorial areas. The creation of two independent companies will deliver meaningful benefits to each of the businesses, the markets in which we operate, and all our customers.

‘Our customers will continue to have a collaborative relationship with a financially strong organization that is focused on meeting their needs, and our employees will have expanded career opportunities.’

FIG is planning to open an office in Dubai to support Flexo Image Graphics MEA, with I. M. Shelvam to serve as its managing director. Shelvam has been with FIG for many years, serving in various roles, and said: ‘In this new role, I will be responsible for all FIG business in the Arab Gulf, as well as in East and West Africa, including sales and after-sales of Mark Andy presses and Rotoflex finishing solutions, both in a direct sales role as well as through the company's strong distributor network. I know the challenges are huge but we have strengths and proven capabilities on which we will draw.’

Flexo Image Graphics ISC will be led by Gourav Roy as managing director. Roy has been handling sales since FIG’s inception but, with this realignment, will be focusing on every aspect of customer satisfaction, including support and service.

Previously, customer support was coordinated by Shelvam from FIG’s base in Chennai, but, with the creation of the two autonomous FIG companies, ISC customer support will now be centric to Delhi.  FIG will continue, however, to have support staff based in the same regions they previously were.

‘In over a decade of our operations, we’ve come further than we could have possibly imagined,’ said Roy. ‘The impact we have collectively made in the labeling industry has been undeniable, and I am inspired to even better streamline our services so that our customers can be even better equipped to offer superior and faster services to their customers.

‘This is what we do today, and that is what we’ll do tomorrow.’
