Finalists named in 2014 Pro Carton ECMA Award

30 cartons are to contest the eight categories in this year’s Pro Carton ECMA Award competition, which received 120 entries and had participation from more companies than ever before.

Category winners will be chosen from the 30 entries, as well as the recipients of three special awards – Carton of the Year, Most Innovative and Sustainability

A variety of printers and cartonboard manufacturers are in the running for awards in this year’s contest, including A&R Carton, Lucaprint, STI - Gustav Stabernack, Rainer Buchholz, CD Cartondruck, Hammer, Mayr-Melnhof Packaging Austria, Multi Packaging Solutions, Du Caju Printing and Carl Edelmann, and Metsä Board, Stora Enso, Iggesund Paperboard, Sappi, BillerudKorsnäs, Fedrigoni, Tullis Russell, Smurfit Kappa, Favini, MeadWestvaco and Careo.

The eight categories are Beauty & Cosmetics, Beverage, Confectionery, Pharmaceutical, Shelf Ready & Display, Food, Non-Food and Volume Market. The Pro Carton Young Designers Award will also be presented, with further details on those finalists available here.

The winners will receive their awards at a reception during the first joint congress of ECMA and Pro Carton, which takes place September 17-20 in Sorrento, Italy.
