First HP Indigo 8000 customers confirmed

European label printing giant Rako Group and Sweden’s StrongPoint Labels have been confirmed as the first customers for the HP Indigo 8000 digital press.

Sweden's StrongPoint Labels has invested in an HP Indigo 8000 digital press

The HP Indigo 8000 was launched earlier this year, as detailed here, and has been shown as part of HP Indigo’s presence at drupa 2016 in hall 17.

Rako and StrongPoint Labels will act as the beta test sites for the HP Indigo 8000, whilst further orders are being taken for the digital press, which combines two WS6800 digital print engines to achieve a maximum printing speed of 80m/min. According to a tweet from StrongPoint Labels immediately after the deal was signed, the HP Indigo 8000 will extend its capacity.

HP Indigo also used drupa 2016 to introduce a digital combination printing concept, detailed here, and to present the latest developments in Pack Ready with live demonstrations of the Karlville Pack Ready laminator.
