Goebel and IMS merge

Goebel and IMS, both subsidiaries of Italy’s IMS Deltamatic Group, have merged their activities to enhance their position in the market.

The merger is also consistent with the future-oriented corporate governance within the IMS Deltamatic Group

Both companies are slitter rewinder manufacturers, and the merged business, under the name Goebel IMS and with production sites in Italy, Germany and the US, will offer a range of machines for converting paper and board, plastic film and aluminum foil, cigarette papers, aseptic packaging materials and other special materials.

The merger is also consistent with the future-oriented corporate governance within the IMS Deltamatic Group.

The business activities of Goebel IMS are to be led by Raffaele Ghilardi and Daniele Vaglietti, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of IMS Deltamatic Group respectively, and Goebel CEO Andreas Hollmann.

‘Since Goebel became part of IMS Deltamatic Group in 2013, we have engaged in numerous exchanges with our Italian colleagues and have managed to form a tight-knit group,’ Hollmann said. ‘Now what belongs together will also grow together, and we are looking forward to the next step in our company history.

‘It is thanks to this merger that we can combine our international sales channels and provide an improved service to our customers with an enlarged product portfolio.’

‘We are looking forward to the coming months and years with our experienced teams at our sites in Germany, Italy, China and the US,’ Vaglietti added, ‘and with the same corporate strength. We now unite the best: precision, reliability, innovative strength and design.’
