Grafisk Maskinfabrik sells DC330/flatbed generation 5

Grafisk Maskinfabrik has announced the sale of its advanced DC330/flatbed generation 5 converting line to Swedish printer Etipack. The line features GM's combination of flatbed technology and semi-rotary web movement. Etipack already has a DC330/hybrid laser finishing line, which was installed in 2012.

Etipack’s investment is intended to increase growth in digitally printed specialty labels.

The GM DC330/flatbed offers both hotfoil and coldfoil stamping and embossing. This particular line also features the GM SC330 screen printing unit.

Uffe Nielsen, CEO of Grafisk Maskinfabrik, commented: ‘In our daily lives, we are exposed to an increasing amount of marketing and communication efforts from product providers. The fact that we are surrounded by such amounts of advertising wherever we go makes us able to filter out these impressions and thus, advertising becomes inefficient. This means that if you want to “cut through the noise” and make consumers notice your products, not only do you need a good product, but you also need to focus on the quality of your packaging to give a good first impression - and as the saying goes - first impressions last.’

Mattias Wikander and Mats Winde of Etipack added: ‘We experience an increasing demand for complex labels, and we wish to be able to cater to all needs and wants within our industry. No matter how special or complex they may be. And this is where the finishing line from Grafisk Maskinfabrik comes into the picture: to help us deliver any label you can think up. Our longstanding relationship with Grafisk Maskinfabrik has proven very innovative and fruitful.’
