HP Indigo to present latest digital printing developments at Labelexpo Americas 2016

HP Indigo will present its 8000 digital press model at Labelexpo Americas 2016, running September 13-15 in Rosemont, Illinois.

The digital press can operate at speeds up to 80m/min (262ft/min)

The HP Indigo 8000 digital press was introduced earlier this, as reported here. The digital press can operate at speeds up to 80m/min (262ft/min) – twice that of the best-selling WS6800 – with a dual mode in-line or off-line semi-rotary die-cutting unit specially developed by AB Graphic, and detailed here.

Also at Labelexpo Americas 2016, HP Indigo is to present its Digital Combination Printing concept, another product introduced earlier this year and reported here.

The HP Indigo Digital Combination Printing concept incorporates HP Indigo print hardware and digital embellishment technology from JetFx. It is an in-line technology, and will be shown attached to an HP Indigo WS6800 digital press.

Other technology to be on show include the HP Indigo 20000 digital press for flexible packaging, labels and shrink sleeves, with new substrates including PE and other stretchable substrates and laminate tube. Multi-lane ganging of jobs also now helps optimize production. The new color package offers fast and accurate color matching, consistency of color along the run and repeatability of the color.

HP Indigo ElectroInk Fluorescent Pink is being released for the HP Indigo WS6800 digital press, and also new on the presses is HP Indigo ElectroInk Premium White, offering opacity levels up to silkscreen opacity in a single print process. The ink effectively doubles the base layer opacity, delivered in a thin white layer, fully dried and cured on impact.

On the HP Indigo 20000, an in-line unit delivering industrial scales of white ink is shown along with a low friction HP Indigo ElectroInk White for sleeves.
