India to get its first Bobst Revo presses

Deepak Duggal, director at Kap Cones, ordered a 10-color press with a width of 670mm. It is a fully loaded press that comes with cold foil, on-line lamination, sleeve print cylinder and turret unwinder rewinder. Duggal who finalized the 8-color Omet X6 530 he previous day, said, ‘We expect the Bobst M6 Revo to be installed at our plant in Manesar by the end of the current financial year.’

For Jupiter Laminators, which houses five gravure presses at its plant in Sonepat, the Bobst M6 Revo UV digital flexo press will be its first flexographic machine. Sandeep Bajaj, managing director at Jupiter Laminators, has opted for a 9-color press with a web width of one meter. It is a customized machine with features such as hot foil stamping and turret rewinder and unwinder. The company, which primarily prints tobacco and beverage packs and labels, will be able to print on paper, polyester, BoPet and BOPP with the new purchase. The press is expected to be dispatched by July 2016.

The Bobst stand is hosting demonstrations of the M4 press (430mm width) and M6 press (670mm width), a UV flexo mid-web press dedicated to the flexible packaging market.

Both presses showcase the manufacturer’s digital automation program in the print cylinder configuration of the M4 and in the print sleeve configuration for the M6. Live exchange of multiple jobs with less than 10 meters of substrate waste and one minute of set-up time is being performed.

Bobst has confirmed its promise to continue driving Revo project for 7-color extended gamut technology. The Revo team has also introduced the concept of Non-Stop Digital Flexo with the aim to achieve up to 95 percent press up-time. To achieve this objective on the new M6, Bobst’s automatic turret unwinder and rewinder is also on display.
