Peel and scratch to activate variants of Covert-ID are available, which leaves no residue when peeled to activate. The optical thin film also features color shifting metallic properties.

The variable covert image is in registration with visible overt printing, so the hidden code can be securely tracked throughout the manufacturing process and supply chain. Visible printing can be a QR code which matches the covert code, links to a website for covert code input verification or relates to the code in a confidential database.

Jordan Products also reported a positive response to its Secure-ID product for tamper evidence applications.
