Label Industry Global Awards 2015 finalists named

The names of the finalists in the Label Industry Global Awards 2015 have been confirmed, with 17 entries to the annual awards in the running for prizes across three categories.

In the 2015, finalists in the Award for Innovation (for companies with more than 300 employees) category, which is sponsored by Flint Group Narrow Web, are Esko, HP Indigo, Revo, Super Film and Xeikon.

Finalists in the Award for Innovation (for companies with up to 300 employees) category, again sponsored by Flint Group Narrow Web, are Any Graphics, GEW, Hybrid Software, Iwata, Lake Image Systems, Rotas, Troika Systems and Web Resources.

Finalists in the Award for Sustainability category, sponsored by Xeikon, are Avery Dennison, Bio4life, Lintec and Dr Fischer.

As well as the three award categories, the judges have selected former FINAT president Kurt Walker as the recipient of the R. Stanton Avery Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2015 Label Industry Global Awards.

Judges for this year’s awards, under the chairmanship of Mike Fairley were: Thomas Hagmaier, upcoming president of FINAT; Andy Thomas, group managing editor of Labels & Labeling; Armin Karl Geiger, editor of NarrowWebTech; Steve Katz, editor of Label & Narrow Web; and Anthony White, label industry consultant.

The winners will be announced at the Label Industry Global Awards 2015 ceremony and dinner on September 29, where Walker will also officially be presented with his award.
