Label Industry Global Awards shortlist revealed

The shortlist of finalists for the three contested categories in the 2016 Label Industry Global Awards have been announced, alongside the recipient of this year’s R. Stanton Avery Lifetime Achievement Award.

The three contested categories are: the Award for Innovation (for companies with over 300 employees), the Award for Innovation (for companies with less than 300 employees) and the Award for Sustainability

Shortlisted finalists in the Award for Innovation (for companies with over 300 employees), which is sponsored by Flint Group Narrow Web, are Jindal Films Americas, Lintec Corporation and Rako Etiketten.

Shortlisted finalists in the Award for Innovation (for companies with less than 300 employees), also sponsored by Flint Group Narrow Web, are Alphasonics, Eshuis, Grafotronic, Omet and Unilux.

Shortlisted finalists in the Award for Sustainability are Constantia Flexibles, Dow Chemical Company and Outlook Group Corporation.

Belmark founder and chairman Bruce Bell has been named as the recipient of this year’s R. Stanton Avery Lifetime Achievement Award, as detailed here.

He will receive his award at the same event where the category winners of the 13th annual Label Industry Global Awards will be named. This takes place on the first night of Labelexpo Americas 2016, which runs September 13-15.

Chaired by Mike Fairley, the judges presiding over this year’s awards included: Michael Ritter, vice chairman of TLMI; Thomas Hagmaier, president of Finat; Steve Katz, editor of Label & Narrow Web; Andy Thomas, group managing editor of Labels & Labeling; Armin Karl Geiger, editor of NarrowWebTech.
