LasX Europe and Colordyne agree digital label press distribution partnership

LasX and Colordyne Technologies (CDT) have entered into a partnership agreement for LasX's European operation to represent and distribute CDT’s 3600 Series production class digital printing platforms throughout Europe.

The 3600 Series provides a multi-printhead system using Memjet Waterfall printhead technology and closed loop servo tension control, plus in-line finishing options and configurations. The 3600 Series is capable of printing at speed up to 102m/min resolutions up to 1600 x 1375 DPI, regardless of image content or complexity. The 3600 Series is available in 220mm and 430mm print widths, and CMYK+S (spot) color configurations.

‘We are very pleased to be working with LasX Europe as our European distributor,’ said Brian Connolly, vice president of sales and marketing at CDT. ‘Having an experienced sales and service team in the European market ensures high quality service and support from people who really understand the market. LasX’s digital finishing solutions are an excellent fit with our digital presses.’

LasX Europe was formed earlier this year, with Dirk Stünkel appointed as managing director. ‘The 3600 Series offers an unbeatable combination of very high print speed and quality using environmentally-friendly water-based inks,’ said Stünkel. ‘When combined with our LaserSharp laser-based finishing solutions, LasX Europe can deliver a complete digital solution to our label customers in the EMEA.’

The Colordyne 3600 Sprint digital press and the off-line LasX Matrix modular finishing system can be configured with optional barcode readers, instant order change, UV coating, flexo and rotary die stations. A LaserSharp module with twin 400W lasers can keep up with the maximum print speed of the 3600 Series Sprint.

Stünkel is now starting to appoint a network of resellers for Colordyne and LasX throughout Europe. Across November 11-13 there will be a series of open days to demonstrate CDT and LasX equipment, taking place at LasX Europe’s showroom in Hannover, Germany. Visitors can register in advance here.
