Latma and ANZFTA to merge

Latma president Mark Easton is on record as saying the merger of the two organizations will make them a stronger force to serve their industries in Australia and New Zealand, and is quoted as commenting that consolidation and therefore expansion of a combined association will broaden opportunities and improve the quality of programs, speakers, training and workshops. At the top of the benefits he pointed to the fact that the as yet unnamed merged organization will have a greater monetary reserve to spend on training and education.

‘We will have the numbers to grow and be strong and survive for many more years than would have been possible  had we not proposed this venture.’ he added.

One of the contributing reasons for the move is the fact that, as not for profit organizations, the two bodies continually find financial difficulties in a shrinking pool of potential sponsors.
