Linerless Trail to feature at Labelexpo Europe 2015

Appvion, Evonik, Henkel, Novamelt, Maan Engineering, MPS Systems, Ravenwood Packaging, Ricoh and Bostik, plus applicator specialist Sato Europe, have joined forces to promote linerless labels before, during and after the show, which takes place September 29 to October 2 in Brussels, Belgium. During the exhibition there will be a physical route along the stands of participants in the Linerless Trail.

Those taking part in the Linerless Trail at Labelexpo Europe 2015 represent different disciplines in the supply chain, covering silicones, adhesives and materials to press technology, and will educate show attendees on each step of linerless label production and use, and the benefits of this label type.

Linerless Trail participants point to the seven billion sq m of waste thrown away each year in Europe from self-adhesive labels, and highlight the waste reduction potential of linerless labels by completely removing the waste material from the label production process. The omission of the liner results in 50 percent more labels on a roll also, so large savings on transport, storage and and other costs, they state.
