Manel Xifra Boada Technological Center expands training offer for 2017

The Manel Xifra Boada Technological Centre is expanding its training offer for 2017, with Comexi CTec courses covering Advanced Lamination, in German, Slitting, in English, and Gravure, in Spanish, added.

Since its foundation four years ago, nearly 600 professionals have been trained with Comexi CTec courses

The Advanced Lamination course, already offered in Spanish and English, will be held in German for the first time to reach more of Comexi’s clients. Just like the Spanish and English editions, which will also be held in 2017, it will be organized as a three-day course with the aim to learn in depth the principles of lamination, adhesives, the films most often used in the process and the options to resolve the most frequent problems, as well as practical sessions to explore the laminator’s capabilities.

Advanced Slitting in English follows the first edition of this course, in Spanish, which was held in 2016; due to the success of this initiative, the Manel Xifra Boada Technological Centre has decided to offer this course in both Spanish and English in 2017. During the two-day course, attendees will have the opportunity to gain practical and theoretical knowledge on the main elements that form a slitter, as well as its functions, technical features and capabilities, considering different kinds of web materials. Furthermore, the training will include proposals of productivity and efficiency studies based on the configuration criteria and the type of cut. The course will also address market trends in slitting and rewinding.

In addition to these new courses, the Comexi CTec training offer for 2017 will include for the first time an Advanced Gravure Printing course, as well as courses in Flexographic Printing, Maintenance, Troubleshooting and Standardization for Flexographic Printing, along with Technical Color seminars.

The Manel Xifra Boada Technological Center is part of Comexi, and provides support and transfers its knowledge to the various agents involved in the flexible packaging industry process.
