ECMA communications manager Rogier Krabbendam and Pro Carton head of marketing Suzanne McEwen presented their activities to promote the industry and to advocate the interests of the European folding carton Industry.

‘It was great that some of the participants already volunteered to be actively involved in the establishment of the new organization,’ said Hans van Schaik, ECMA managing director. Olaf Kacperski from MMP Neupack Polska and Marek Roszak from Edelmann Poland have already taken up leading roles.

‘After this promising meeting it’s important that the Polish carton makers agree on the mission and key objectives of the new organization and to find more volunteers and committed members to support the initiative,’ continued van Schaik. ‘Where possible ECMA will closely support this initiative and keep in personal contact with the volunteers who have taken the lead. ECMA invites the new Polish converter association to join ECMA, and to work together representing the folding carton industry throughout Europe.’
