Polyplex supplies substrates for HP Indigo Pack Ready

HP Indigo Pack Ready is a laminating system for HP Indigo digital presses that provides zero cure-time lamination while instantly creating a strong bond between digitally printed substrate and Pack Ready laminate film. It thus enables digital converters to print, laminate and pack on demand for immediate time to market.

With HP’s introduction of the HP Indigo 20000 digital press and focus on growing the digitally printed flexible packaging market, Polyplex now offers transparent, metallized, primed and extrusion coated polyester filmic substrates targeting digital web printing for HP Indigo presses.

Kapil Gupta, profit center head, India operation at Polyplex, said: ‘SaraPrint can be offered in sheet form as well as in roll form. This is an in-line Polyplex technology for digital printing of PET-based products in different thicknesses – from 10 micron to 190 micron – in the form of white PET, matte PET and transparent PET films. This technology has various advantages over off-line coating technology with respect to product consistency, long-lasting print sharpness, color depth and overall printing performance.’

SaraPrint media products have been developed in-house and are compatible for use in digital printing machines from HP Indigo, Konica Minolta, Canon, Xerox and Xeikon, among others.

Polyplex has global manufacturing and distribution operations in India, Thailand, Turkey, China, USA and Netherlands. It manufactures packaging film substrates including polyester, BOPP, CPP films with integrated downstream capabilities of metallizing, silicone coating and extrusion coating for thermal lamination. The company supplies to 86 countries across Europe, Americas, the Indian sub-continent, the Far East, Asia Pacific and the Middle East.
