TLMI and Finat to provide update on joint LCA project
Finat will host a press conference together with TLMI at Labelexpo Europeon Thursday, October 1 at 12.30pm in the press office. The European and North American trade associations will provide an update on the joint Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) project, sharing key findings and providing details on the publication of the Finat LCA guidelines.
The guidelines will include a brief introduction to the principles of Life Cycle Analysis with an overview of existing measurement tools and how to use them. The full guidelines will be available for Finat members later this year. A workshop on how to implement the principles will be given at the Finat Technical Seminar in Barcelona in March 2016.
At the press conference, Finat will also address the issue of conformity required for self-adhesive labels used in food packaging following the recent publication of an overview of existing legislation on materials and articles coming into contact with food.
Other publications on display at the show will include the Finat Technical Handbook 9th edition in French and the Finat leaflet 'Connect your business with the label community' with information on what it means to be part of the Finat community.
Finat's booth will display winning entries in the 2015 Finat Label Competition while visitors can also take part, and even win a prize, in an online survey to help Finat gain a better understating of how its performance is viewed.
