Ultrachem and Van Son enter strategic alliance for sheet-fed inks

Ultrachem and Van Son have entered into a strategic alliance that sees the consumables supplier stock and promote the Van Son Vs range of sheet-fed inks with immediate effect.

Initially, Ultrachem will be offering the Vs1 conventional sheet fed ink series to its UK customers

Based in the Netherlands, Van Son focuses on ensuring industry-leading batch-to-batch consistency and unrivalled performance whether their ink is being run on older printing units, or a state of the art 10-color press.

Initially, Ultrachem will be offering the Vs1 conventional sheet-fed ink series to its UK customers. The Vs1 series has been designed to perform on any size press offering intense consistent color, and rapid setting and drying times. It also offers ‘exceptional’ rub and scuff resistance.

Vs1 inks are available in 2.5kg tins, 2kg cartridges and 200kg drums.

Ultrachem director Janet Brinton said: ‘The addition of Vs1 to the Ultrachem sheet-fed portfolio represents the start of an exciting and significant partnership with Van Son.

‘We will be working with Van Son to widen the Vs portfolio early next year with some innovative new products.’

Wim van Mastright, managing director at Van Son, added: ‘The Vs range has been designed for total consistency. But of course it is not always just about the product, and we also needed a distributor in the UK who has true national coverage from a logistics and technical support perspective.

‘Ultrachem is the ideal partner in both these respects and we are looking forward to growing the Vs range with it over the coming months.’
