GMG to spotlight technology at Loupe

The company spotlights its direct-to-substrate proofing and real-time color correction technology.

GMG Color Americas will exhibit at booth 5706 at Loupe Americas 2026.

Loupe Americas, formerly Labelexpo Americas, brings together converters, brand owners and suppliers from across the label and packaging industry.

GMG will use the show to spotlight two technologies built for the pressures converters face today: GMG ColorProof 5.18, now with direct-to-substrate proofing that lets teams hold a proof on the actual production material, and GMG InstantMatch, a press-side tool that corrects small, frequent color shifts in real time on digital packaging presses, without the lengthy reprofiling that normally follows them.

The label and packaging industry faces mounting pressures:
brand demand for faster turnarounds; consistent color across multiple devices; digital, flexo and hybrid workflows require the same results; cost and sustainability pressures; and reducing waste and ink usage is now business-critical.

GMG ColorProof 5.18 and GMG InstantMatch were built to address these realities from two different angles: locking in color before a job hits press, and correcting it in real time once the job is running.

GMG ColorProof 5.18, the newest release of GMG's proofing platform, now proofs directly on production substrate, printing on the real paper, film, foil or corrugated board a job will run on rather than a paper stand-in. The capability runs through the new Mutoh ValueJet 628MP, an 8-color inkjet printer that handles roll and sheet-fed stock with durable, weather- and abrasion-resistant ink, and is fully integrated with GMG OpenColor for calibration and profiling. The release also adds cloud-based proof notifications, recipient-side nesting to cut media waste, and easier server migration.

GMG InstantMatch is a press-side technology built for digital packaging presses that corrects small, frequent color shifts in real time, giving converters faster makereadies, less waste and consistent brand color every time, without the lengthy reprofiling that normally follows a shift.
