Konica Minolta launches AccurioLabel 231 at Loupe

Konica Minolta has launched the AccurioLabel 231 at Loupe Americas 2026 in Chicago, a new digital label press targeting entry- to mid-production label environments, announced alongside the milestone of 2,000 global AccurioLabel installations since the company entered the digital label market nearly a decade ago.

The AccurioLabel 231 extends maintenance intervals to twice those of its predecessor, the AccurioLabel 230, and nearly doubles engine life, reducing servicing downtime and increasing productive press time. The press delivers speeds of up to approximately 77ft/min at 1,200 x 2,400 DPI resolution. A new Intelligent Quality Optimizer technology continuously monitors print performance and automatically corrects for variations during longer production runs, maintaining consistent output with fewer manual adjustments. The press supports an expanded range of media and substrates and is designed with an intuitive operating environment to shorten operator onboarding and reduce training requirements.

Biotef recently became the 2,000th global AccurioLabel installation. 'The AccurioLabel has become an important part of our production strategy because it gives us the flexibility to efficiently handle a wide range of jobs without sacrificing quality,' said Todd Barry, general manager at Biotef. 'Its consistency, reliability and ease of operation allow us to take on more work, reduce production bottlenecks and better serve our customers.'

Also on the show floor, the AccurioLabel 400 is being demonstrated for converters looking to expand into higher-value label and packaging applications, featuring an optional fifth-color white toner station and automated color and registration controls. The JetVarnish 3D Web 400 digital embellishment system is also on show, demonstrating spot UV varnish, hot foil effects, raised varnish, metallic effects and variable-data embellishment without the tooling requirements of traditional processes.

Together, the AccurioLabel 231 and AccurioLabel 400 provide converters, commercial printers and brand owners with a scalable path from entry-level through higher-volume digital label production.
