Tageos launches microwave-compatible RFID inlays
W EOS-450 MW series and world-first FlexIC NFC inlay headline portfolio at booth 420.
Tageos has launched two new microwave-compatible RAIN RFID inlays at Loupe Americas 2026 in Chicago at booth 420, alongside its broader portfolio of RAIN RFID, NFC and Bluetooth Low Energy inlays and tags for label and packaging converters, printers and brand owners.
The EOS-450 MW M830 and EOS-450 MW UX are designed specifically for RFID-tagged food packaging that is defrosted or heated in a microwave, with antenna designs engineered to resist arcing and sparking under defined microwave conditions. The M830-based variant features 128-bit EPC memory, AutoTune performance and Gen2X enhancements. The NXP UCODE X-based UX provides configurable EPC memory from 96 to 208 bits with up to 32 bits of user memory, ultra-low power consumption and Gen2v2 compliance. Both are available in dry, wet clear, paper-face and plastic-face formats. The two inlays mark the first step in a growing Tageos portfolio of microwave-compatible products, with additional variants planned.
A further highlight at the booth is the EOS-932 Zero Lite PR1301, described as the world's first FlexIC-based NFC inlay, developed in collaboration with Pragmatic Semiconductor. The product combines a paper substrate antenna with ultra-thin flexible integrated circuit technology, enabling integration into paper labels and packaging while reducing plastic content and improving recyclability.
The broader Tageos portfolio covers traceability, inventory accuracy, product authentication and consumer engagement applications across apparel, cosmetics, wines and spirits, consumer electronics, luxury goods, healthcare and sporting goods.
'The market for RAIN RFID-based food tagging is growing rapidly, and customers are increasingly demanding inlays that are specifically tailored to the practical requirements of modern food packaging and handling,' said Jeremy Wade, vice president of sales Americas at Tageos. 'With the introduction of our latest innovations at Loupe Americas 2026, we are combining microwave compatibility with best-in-class RAIN RFID performance, a combination that is essential for reliable, large-scale item-level visibility.'
