Two subsidiaries of Barry-Wehiller, MarquipWardUnited do Brasil and PCMC do Brasil, have joined forces to consolidate the companies Brazilian operations. The assets of MarquipWardUnited have been transferred to the PCMP facility.

‘The benefit of a single location is twofold: to improve local response times to our customers’ service needs and to take full advantage of PCMC’s technical, sourcing and trade expertise to further expand our capabilities in the region,’ said Timothy J. Sullivan, CEO of MarquipWardUnited and PCMC.

MarquipWardUnited serves customers throughout South America with experienced field service personnel and a substantial inventory of spare parts for an installed base of more than 300 pieces of corrugating, sheeting and finishing equipment. The Sao Paulo facility has historically been a manufacturing location for the re-export of PCMC’s flexographic film printing systems to the United States. Combining the resources of the two organizations marks a new chapter for Barry-Wehmiller in Brazil.

‘The fusion of these operations represents an exciting opportunity for MarquipWardUnited to improve the level of support for our historic customers and extensive installed base in the region,’ said Scott Farroll, vice president of technical services for MarquipWardUnited. ‘In the future, we also plan to utilize the manufacturing capabilities for new product sales into South America.’

Laercio Catao, general manager of the newly combined operations, added: ‘With the diverse knowledge and experience of these well-established teams, MarquipWardUnited/PCMC do Brasil is positioned to deliver outstanding results. Our partnership brings a renewed sense of confidence that our customers are now in better hands than ever.’
